This year, we will hold the GTP Hackathon again. We will discuss the relationship between GTP and disease, aging, diet, immunity, evolution, etc.

This year, we will also be discussing theories and methods for clarifying the intracellular distribution of metabolites.

A certain degree of information about the distribution of proteins within cells can be obtained using antibodies, and recently, cryo-tomography has made it possible in some cases to obtain information within cells at near-atomic resolution.

However, to truly link these distributions to cellular functions in time and space, quantitative and dynamic analysis of the intracellular metabolites that act as substrates is essential.

In recent years, it has become possible to obtain average metabolite amounts through various OMICS analyses, which is a major step forward, but how can we go further?

We would like to discuss the problems that arise and the methodologies to overcome them, linking them to each of our research topics.
