How would you describe your lab in one word?
In our lab, we investigate how teeth and periodontal tissues develop, maintain homeostasis, and evolve. We use these tissues as model systems to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes. Our aim is to uncover fundamental principles of tissue organization and function. We also work to apply our findings to clinical challenges. This includes developing regenerative therapies, identifying the causes of congenital disorders and improving diagnostic approaches, and advancing the detection, prevention, and treatment of common oral diseases such as dental caries and periodontitis.
